Retail Manager
Location: Auckland (four stores & HQ in New Lynn)
Employment Type: Full-time
Father Rabbit is seeking a passionate Retail Manager to oversee our four Auckland stores. This role is ideal for an independent, sales-driven leader who can motivate teams while also working solo in-store. One day a week is spent at New Lynn HQ handling cash-ups, banking, and online customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Drive revenue by selling and coaching staff on proactive customer engagement.
- Team Management: Train, motivate, and oversee retail staff to maintain a high-performance sales culture. Run our retail rosters.
- Visual Merchandising & Stock Management: Ensure displays are engaging and stock is well managed.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships and create an ‘owner-operated’ store feel.
- Operations & Marketing: Handle store admin, cash-ups, stock transfers, and in-store events.

Production, Stock and Warehouse Assistant
Location: New Lynn Auckland
Company: Father Rabbit Merchant (Wholesale company)
Role: Part-Time, 25-30 hours per week
Reports to: Directors
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production, Stock, Warehouse Assistant. This part-time role involves a blend of production administration, warehouse organisation and stock management for our Wholesale Company. If you have an eye for detail and love being organised, this might be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the flow of stock, creating sales orders, transferring and counting stock, and updating purchase orders using systems like Shopify and Horse.
- Dispatching orders for Father Rabbit Merchant.
- Oversee consignment stock levels with stockists and complete monthly reports and reconciliation.
- Handle production coordination, including setting up product codes, managing spec sheets, and liaising with manufacturers.
- Create and manage production timelines.
- Support the team with any ad-hoc tasks or workflow assistance as needed.
Key Skills & Experience:
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience in inventory management systems (Cin7, Shopify, Xero) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask.
- Physically fit for tasks involving lifting and carrying products.
- Pallet Stacker experience, ideally a certificate for walk behind fork hoist use.

Accounts Admin
Location: New Lynn
Role: Part-Time, 5-10 hours per week
Reports to: Directors
About the Role:
We’re on the lookout for an organised and detail-driven Accounts & Admin Assistant to join our team in a flexible, part-time role. If you have a knack for numbers, a passion for staying organised, and enjoy supporting day-to-day business operations, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with monitoring accounts emails and billing utilities, sales, and invoices in Xero.
- Match received purchase orders with invoices and import them into Xero for payment.
- Reconcile daily sales from Shopify, Afterpay, and Amex.
- Track missing items and liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
- Help with general administrative tasks across the team, especially in cases of staff sickness or shortages.
- Support ad-hoc office duties as directed by the Directors.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in accounting tasks.
- Experience with Xero is a must
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and general office tools.

Work with a Great Team
Our Head office is based in New Lynn near the train and bus station. Lynn Mall is a 2 min walk. We are small team of approx 7 people at Head office. We all muck in. You'll be working directly with the owners of Father Rabbit. There is carparking at Head office as well.
