My Garden Kitchen | Recipes from the Forest Cantina
Talented self-taught home cook Unna Burch is rapidly making a name for herself as The Forest Cantina. An expert food stylist and photographer, Unna includes an image of every recipe in her book. She is keen to encourage young families to cook at home, and she makes all her delicious meals from scratch. With over 100 recipes, there are ‘easy as’ options for quick weekday meals while weekend feasts ‘take time’ to prepare. Meals range through breakfast, brunch and dinner to dessert, and there are recipes for bread, vegetable sides, preserves, drinks and homemade food gift ideas as well. Unna harvests natural honey from her beehives, eggs from 13 heritage chickens and she uses Fair Trade ingredients and home grown vegetables to produce her Asian, Indian, Mexican and Mediterranean-inspired dishes.
